Read Less9" height from the top stitching to the bottom (23cm) and about 7"(18cm) to the folds
12.5" width from one stitch to another (32cm)
The bottom folds give about 3" depth (7.5cm)
Materials:
▫️a leather piece 13"x23" or 12"x27" (about 4sq.f should be perfect if you buy a small hide)
▫️1 leather strap about 50-56" (125-140cm) length for the crossbody strap, and the piece for the side attachments is 4.5x3.25"
▫️polyester threads (t-70 or v-92)
▫️zipper 11.5-20" for the top (30cm)
▫️fabric for the lining 0.5 yard (including slide pockets and inside zip pocket)
▫️7 rivets (10 is better just in case)
Recommendations about leather and fabric:
What leather to pick depends on the result you want:
If you want soft slouchy bag it's better to take 4-4.5oz leather and soft temper (the temper is usually in the description of the leather).
For the fabric:
to get a slouchy hobo style bag - the regular "linen" thickness cotton will work great, and also any satin or something alike in thickness and softness.
If you take 4-4.5oz leather and want more firm bag -- then take a look at the duck canvas cotton. It's a firm fabric and will make the bag more shaped.
Straps: we use belt leather of 5.5" thickness in the lesson. You can buy leather straps of the length you need on Etsy or Buckleguy.com
▫️ I use 4oz cowhide leather and regular cotton fabric for the lining.
